Interesting Facts
"El Palomar" Albarino - magical white wine made from grapes Albariño, growing on one of the oldest vineyards in the Rias Baixas - El Palomar. The average age of the vines is 150 years old. Granite soil of the vineyard with shallow roots that penetrate deep into the rock, give the wine a distinctive mineral character. Hand harvesting takes place in late August. The berries are sorted, destebliruyut and subjected to soft pressing. Wort passes malolactic fermentation, and then alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels Vosges. Wine is aged for 9 months. Potential wine "El Palomar" Albarino is 5-10 years.

Zarate is a family winery located in Meano, in the heart of Valle del Salnes in the Rias Baixas. Property located in the estate was built in the XVI century and completely rebuilt in the XVIII. The main objective of the company is a natural care ancient vineyards and limited production of fine wines of exceptional quality. For seven generations of family Zarate takes care of the vineyards and produces wines. The winery is a pioneer in the creation of wines from grapes Albariño 50-ies of XX century. Ernesto Zarate was the founder of the "Fiesta de Cambados", but after three years in a row he won the first prize, his guilt is no longer in the competition.
