Reviews of purchase Weingut Hauck, Riesling Spatlese Alte Reben Trocken, 2023
Tasting Notes
The wine is golden yellow.
The taste of wine is elegant, voluminous, with balanced acidity, amazing minerality, beautiful floral tones, shades of yellow fruits (including pears and honey melons), subtle nutty notes and a very long finish.
Fresh aroma of the wine reveals fruit shades, especially yellow pears and ripe apples.
The wine goes well with potato soups, fried seafood, classic German dishes and cheeses.
Interesting Facts
The Qvinterra line consists of high-quality white wines from five different terroirs in five different villages. The Latin term "Qvinterra" indicates precisely that the Kühling-Gillot winery owns vineyards in the five most famous places in the Rheinhessen region - Oppenheim, Nirstein, Nakenen, Bodenheim and Laubenheim.
"Qvinterra" Grauer Burgunder Trocken is made from grapes Grauer Burgunder, which is one of the most famous varieties in Germany. Wine ripening takes place in steel tanks and French oak barriques (20% new). The wine has an excellent balance, which makes it an ideal companion for many dishes. The wine storage potential is 5 years.
Producer's description
Winery Hauck is located in the heart of Rheinhessen, in the village of Bermersheim vor der Höhe. The first records of the Hauk family date back to 1727. For many generations, the family was engaged not only in viticulture, but also in agriculture, until in 2000 Heike and Heinz Günther decided to focus exclusively on winemaking. About 140,000 vines are planted on 28 hectares of vineyards, their processing is carried out with great care.
To date, Hauck's wines are popular in many European countries, and their high quality is appreciated by numerous consumers.
