Wine brilliant dark ruby color with purple reflections.
The wine has a harmonious, balanced taste with rounded tannins, bright notes of ripe fruit, spices and a pleasant, velvety aftertaste.
The aroma of wine shows the tone of dark berries, cloves, violets and spices.
Wine is recommended to combine with red meat, game, lamb, pasta and cheeses.
Vina Chocalan "Vitrum" Blend is an elegant dry wine from the Maipo Valley in Chile. The vineyards are located on a hillside 35 km from the sea. One part of the grapes is harvested in the last week of April, and the second in the last week of May. The harvested crop is cooled, crushed and fermented in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 8 ° C for 10 days. Wine is aged 14 months in French oak barrels. The wine is recommended to cool before serving to 16 ° C and decant.
Vina Chocalan is a family business. It was founded by Guillermo Toro, who was associated with the wine industry for more than 60 years. Being a very enthusiastic winemaker, Guillermo created a project for the production of wines, combining two of his strongest passions: grapes and wine. The name of the winery - "Chocalan" - translates as "yellow buds."
The first harvest of grapes was received in 2001, and the next year the construction of a wine cellar in the Melipilly area began. Today Viña Ciocalán is recognized as one of Chile's leading companies producing high-quality red and white wines.
The mission of Viña Ciocalán is to produce the wines of the New World, which will be recognized at the national and international level. The winery strives to be a producer of the highest quality wines with a stable and socially responsible production, creating an emotional connection with wine consumers.
