The wine is produced at the Villa Vallemadzhore owned by Matta family since 2001 and is located in the province of Grosseto. The villa is one of the few wineries on the coast in Maremma. Thanks to this convenient location close to the sea, the Villa Vallemadzhore climate is very different from other areas of the Maremma. Almost constant sea breeze keeps the ground is dry, well-ventilated vines, vines provide excellent health, and sandy soil contains a good percentage of essential trace elements that contribute to the complexity and aroma of wine. Wine producer is a company Vikkomadzho Castello, which has a very ancient history. Vikkomadzho Castle was built in 1400. Once upon a time there lived such famous figures as Leonardo da Vinci and Francesco Redi. Today Vikkomadzho belongs to John and Paola Matta, who are not only involved in the production of wine, but also to take tourists. The owners put a lot of experimenting with styles of wines, producing both traditional Tuscan as modern innovative wines. Ancient and very majestic castle Vallemaggiore, built many centuries ago of solid stone, has at its center a high crenellated tower, surrounded by a large stone walls. It is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Valle di Greve and is only 18 km from Florence. In the Middle Ages the castle, which has a strategic location, played a key role in the defense of Florence in conflicts with Siena. Thanks to careful and painstaking restoration, the castle is perfectly preserved and recognized as a national monument of Italy.
