Villa Pillo, "Borgoforte" Toscana IGT - dry red wine made in Super Tuscan style and named after a small village that is located on the territory of the manufacturing company. In its blend, in addition to the main share of Sangiovese grapes, there are berries of the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. The vineyards were planted between 1991 and 1995. The berries are harvested by hand at different times when the fruits reach optimum ripeness. Each batch is vinified separately and aged in a small Taransaud French oak barrel for 12 months. After the wine is blended under the supervision of a master blender.
Villa Pillo is a wine farm located in Tuscany. The farm was created in the Middle Ages. Traders and pilgrims used to pass through the local lands, so the farm flourished. In 1989, the estate was bought by the spouses, John and Keith Dyson. The area of their property was 500 hectares. The family restored the estate and park, planted new olive groves and vineyards, and reconstructed the winery.
The vines are grown in the best areas of the economy. The total area of vines is 40 hectares. In agricultural land, work is underway to limit yields and introduce special care techniques, which will improve the quality of berries. Thanks to hard work, the prestige of Villa Pillo is growing, and its products take place on the shelves of local stores and outlets around the world.
