Producer's description
“Our connection to the wine region is fueled by the defining experiences of our childhood: we were born and raised here, we learned and mastered the love of growing grapes and winemaking from childhood, so we have already incorporated this heritage into all developments to not only preserve the traditions, but also develop them in the direction of modern technologies."
Ungvar-Pince was founded in 2005 in one of the most beautiful regions of the Tokaj Mountains wine region. The family farm existed back in the 60s, where on a small estate of 5 hectares the maternal grandfather of the current owners began growing grapes and making wine, at that time in small quantities.
Today the winery is run by brothers Balázs and Zsigmond, as well as their mother. Balazs is the head winemaker and is involved in technology development, Sigmund is responsible for grape growing, bottling and logistics, and their mother oversees administrative processes. In addition to growing and purchasing grapes, the brothers themselves check and control every stage of the winemaking and bottling process down to the smallest detail so that the highest quality wine can reach the consumer's table.
