Wine Tyrrell's Wines, Semillon "Vat 1", 2012
Reviews of purchase Tyrrell's Wines, Semillon "Vat 1", 2012
Wine is incredibly fresh, young yellow color with lively green overflow.
Beautifully structured, less fruit and more restrained than in previous years, wine has bright citrus notes on the palate. Hardly impossible to see the fight between citrus and acidity, which, in turn, gives rise to a very smooth transition to the finish.
Citrus aroma of wine that reflects the classic manifestation of varieties Semillon, combines fruity bouquet, which set off a pleasant, refreshing nuances of lime, fresh herbs and nuts.
Fine wine as an aperitif, but also perfectly with seafood and fish dishes.
"Vat 1" Semillon, 2006 - this is a classic wine created from Semillon grapes that are grown in the Hunter Valley vineyard on "John" planted back in 1908. Variety Semillon is very popular in the region Graves (France), where is the basis of the most famous white wines of Sauternes. In Australia it is used to create a dry white wine capable of long-term exposure. Wine "Wat 1" was first created in 1963.
Because of its excellent weather, the harvest was gathered in 2006 for a week ahead of schedule. The fermentation process takes place under strictly controlled temperature in steel tanks and then for several years, the wine is aged in the bottle. Vintage 2006 - a beautiful white wine with citrus and hints of bread. Perhaps, it is worthy of the title of one of Australia's finest wines created from Semillon varieties.
"Wat 1" Semillon 2006 was awarded numerous awards. At various competitions, wine received 20 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals.
