The history of the company Tosi begins in 1527, when a lone foot soldier returning from Rome, got to the area of Canelli, which is located in the modern district of Asti, the Piedmont region. The soldier was fascinated by the beauty of these places so much that he left his sword forever and began to cultivate the land, further teaching it to his children and grandchildren. In 1820, according to official documentation, his descendants founded a winemaking business from Giovanni Bosca (this is the original name of the company Tosti).
In the second half of the XIX century the family creates its first sparkling wine. Half a century later, having accumulated experience and learning new technologies, the company begins to sell bottled wine, selling it, mainly in the border areas of France. Since 1925, Giovanni Bosca has been producing vermouth, actively exporting its products to Somalia and Ethiopia. In 1950, the winery is equipped with a fully automatic filling system, continuing to expand the scope of wine exports.
In the 50s of the XX century a new name was invented - Tosti , which was introduced to support the main brand "Bosca" and was met with great success on the market. In the late 1970s the company opened another factory in Canelli, and in 1999 they developed a unique, branded bottle with a stylish "droplet-notch" located above the label. Such innovation made a furore in the world of winemaking and once again emphasized the unique character of the winery Tosti.
As well as 500 years ago, today the company is based in the Canelli zone, where beautiful vineyards cover low hills, enchanting every visitor with their landscapes, as they once captivated a lone warrior who initiated such a large winemaking company.
