Wine Torbreck, "Runrig", 2014
Reviews of purchase Torbreck, "Runrig", 2014
Wine garnet-purple color.
The taste of wine a rich, deep, concentrated, elegant, with crisp acidity, excellent balance, great, but well integrated tannins, long finish with sweet floral tones.
The wine has a delightful aroma with notes of violet and blueberry, raspberry and apricot notes of cherry, anise and oriental spices that are beautifully intertwined with the nuances of mulberry.
The wine is recommended to serve red meat on the grill, as well as venison and aged cheeses.
"" Torbreck, "Runrig", in 2009 - a stunning wine, promises to be one of the best we've ever done. The vegetation period was ideal for flowering. After the heat at the end of January and February followed quite mild and dry weather, allowing grapes to develop and ripen the grapes perfectly slowly. During this period, we have been patient, and perfectly ripe berries. These factors have led to the development of incredible aromatic compounds in wine, so we decided not to add, as usual, Viognier grapes. This wine has a lot of different aspects and nuances that will constantly change and evolve. This wine was truly one of the greats of our wines! "- Says winemaker company" Torbrek. "
The history of wine-making company "Torbrek" based David Powell, started in 1994. He revived the almost dead vines and gathered a small crop of excellent grapes. Powell initially produced wine for their own consumption, and only in 1997 started to produce wines under the brand name "Torbrek." The company is named after the Scottish forest where David Powell has worked long time woodcutter. Thanks to the experience of experts "Torbrek" and high quality wine grapes produced very quickly earned the recognition of professionals. Over time, the company continued to expand in 2002 was bought by a huge area of the historic Hillside farm, located in a very picturesque place, which has become another source of high-quality grapes. More recently, a new winery was built and a new administrative building.
