Tasting Notes
Wine of pale yellow color.
Elegant, sophisticated and soft taste of the wine is full and intense creamy citrus shades, notes of melon, roasted nuts, green apple and vanilla. The finish is long, smooth and creamy.
The aroma of wine bright citrus and tropical tones, notes of melon, peach and cream toffee.
The wine is excellent as an aperitif, goes well with spicy fish dishes, pasta, pasta with white sauce, salmon, goat cheese and fondue.
Interesting Facts
Chardonnay wine "TerraMater Chardonnay" grown on vines with low yields in the vineyard Kaperana. The high temperature resulted in early February crop. Harvested grapes strikes a good balance and excellent health. Crushed and squeezed grapes were pressed at a temperature of 8 degrees, and the juice stand at a similar temperature. After fermentation - partly in French oak barrels - at a temperature of 14-16 degrees, the wine is aged on the lees for several weeks. Ageing potential fault - at least three years. The wine has received a number of high ratings and awards at international competitions:
- 2001 vintage was awarded a bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge 2002 in the UK and marked evaluation "Excellent" by Guia de Vinos de Chile 2004;
- 1999 vintage won a silver medal at the Challenge International du Vin in France in 2000.

In 1996, three elderly Canepa sisters - Gilda, Edda and Antonieta - realized their dream by opening a new winery , TerraMater . The passion for making wine was part of their lives because the Canepa family had been making wine since the 1930s. Once upon a time, their father emigrated from Italy to Chile and, having discovered that viticulture was easy and effective on the fertile Chilean soils, he acquired vineyards. Today his business, but under their own name, was continued by his daughters.
