Tasting Notes
Wine thick black and red color with purple reflections.
The taste of wine is rich and ripe, balanced, with a deep chёrnosmorodinovym taste, rich berry tones in the middle, the nuances of vanilla and French oak, soft tannins and a long finish strong.
The elegant wine fragrant bouquet bright notes of strawberry, blackberry, French oak combined with subtle hints of vanilla, eucalyptus and haze.
The wine goes well with Italian dishes such as meat paste, pasta with mushroom sauce and risotto, and harmonizes well with red meat, lamb, rabbit, lean meats and mature cheeses.
Interesting Facts
The grapes for "TerraMater Cabernet Sauvignon" is grown on vines with low yields in the vineyard Kaperana. After a five-day cold maceration and fifteen of the skin, the wine malolactic fermentation takes place within 15 days at a temperature of 28 degrees. Part of the wines are aged 6 months to two or three years in oak barrels.

- Vintage 1998 got 3 medals: two silver - at Concour Mondial de Bruxelles 2000 (Belgium) and Concour International des Vines 2000 (Switzerland), and a bronze at the Challenge International du Vin in France in 2000;
- Vintage 1997 won two bronze medals at the International Wine Challenge 1998 and 1999 in the UK.

In 1996, three elderly Canepa sisters - Gilda, Edda and Antonieta - realized their dream by opening a new winery , TerraMater . The passion for making wine was part of their lives because the Canepa family had been making wine since the 1930s. Once upon a time, their father emigrated from Italy to Chile and, having discovered that viticulture was easy and effective on the fertile Chilean soils, he acquired vineyards. Today his business, but under their own name, was continued by his daughters.
TerraMater was born on exceptional lands that contain numerous vineyards full of noble varieties. TerraMater owns 500 hectares of land washed by clean water from the Andean mountains.
