The wine has a deep red-black color with purple reflections.
The taste of wine is rounded, velvety, well structured. Fruity, elegant and complex wine that ends with a pleasant aftertaste.
The wine alluring and elegant fragrance with notes of red and black fruits, vanilla and smoke. Also felt lighter shades of spices, especially black pepper.
The wine is perfect with red meat, especially beef tenderloin, braised beef, lamb chops and filet mignon. It is also the perfect complement to the meat of wild boar or ostrich, various cheeses.

Collection called "Altum" - a collection of fine wines created from grapes from only one vineyard. Each of the collection of wines made from selected grapes grown in a particular area, and it reflects the characteristics of the neighborhood. The name "Altum" originates from the Latin word Altum, meaning "sublime", "outstanding."
Wine TerraMater Altum Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes harvested in the vineyard "Block 16" in Curico Valley, located on the hillside. The unique climate with mild ocean breezes, good soil and a sufficiently large temperature fluctuations between day and night leads to the fact that Cabernet Sauvignon in these places get darker in color and more mature tannins. Average age of vines is from 50 to 60 years, the yield of each vine about 1.4 kg. At the beginning of the production of grapes waiting for a 5-7 day cold maceration, followed by maceration for 30 days, fermentation at 28C with 5 irrigations caps a day and 100% malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine is aged 15 months in 100% new French oak barrels before bottling is not filtered.

In 1996, three elderly Canepa sisters - Gilda, Edda and Antonieta - realized their dream by opening a new winery , TerraMater . The passion for making wine was part of their lives because the Canepa family had been making wine since the 1930s. Once upon a time, their father emigrated from Italy to Chile and, having discovered that viticulture was easy and effective on the fertile Chilean soils, he acquired vineyards. Today his business, but under their own name, was continued by his daughters.
