Tasting Notes
Wine of deep ruby color.
Taste wine powerful, rich, balanced, sweet, fruity, with elegant tannins.
Subtle but intense aroma of wine is filled with notes of ripe red fruits and spices.
The wine goes well with red meat, mature cheeses, cold meats (salami).
Interesting Facts
"Solinero", 2008 - innovative wine to create that was designed specifically agronomic project. It is aimed at achieving the full expression of the terroir by the intensity of the sensory features of wine, taking advantage of Syrah (the intensity of its taste, aroma and color), grown under the Sicilian sun. At an altitude of 350 meters above sea level on the rich clay soils has been broken with vines vineyard Syrah. Despite the fact that it is 10 hectares, for the production of "Solinero" shown on only three crop. The grapes are harvested when it reaches full maturity phenolic controlled using the latest techniques in the laboratory. During the traditional maceration at controlled temperature winemakers are closely monitoring the evolution of the extraction of polyphenols. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels of second and third step of use.
Wine producer - Sicilian farm Tenuta Rapitala (in Arabic - "river of God"), founded in 1971 by Count Bernard Ugonis della Gatine. The ideal climatic conditions for growing here as autochthonous and international grape varieties from which the elegant wine with a luxurious bouquet. The owner of the company has upgraded cellars and wineries, which were almost completely destroyed during the earthquake in Belice Valley. Tenuta Rapitala philosophy is that wine should only be of excellent quality and perfectly created, but most importantly their individuality and uniqueness, clearly reflects the exclusivity of its terroir.
