Wine Tenuta Buon Tempo, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, 2012
Reviews of purchase Tenuta Buon Tempo, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, 2012
The wine is dark ruby color with brick reflections.
The taste of wine is strong, dense, well-structured, with fine-grained tannins, notes of ripe Maraschino cherry, licorice, tobacco, hints of dried peppermint and saline in the aftertaste.
In the interesting aroma of wine spicy tones of blueberry, French oak, coconut and truffles are mixed with balsamic notes.
Wine is perfect for red meat and game, as well as aged cheeses.
Tenuta Buon Tempo, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a powerful, strong, strong, dense wine made from Sangiovese grapes, the only variety grown in the Tenuta Buon Tempo estate, as it is the best expression of typical Montalcino characteristics and the only variety that can be found in the most prestigious wines of the region - Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino. Brunello Riserva is produced only in excellent harvest years, for its production less than 10% of the best berries from the oldest vineyards are selected. From the point of view of the production process, when creating Brunello Riserva, the winery adheres to the same philosophy as in the production of other wines, but extends the time of all stages and increases the use of new wood for aging in order to maximize the potential of the grape and, therefore, create a wine of high elegance, structure and durability. In general, the period of aging wine exceeds 60 months.
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva - wine for the patient. If you have the patience to wait, this wine will demonstrate the full potential of a magnificent terroir. Vintage 2012 is recommended to start tasting no earlier than 2022.
Tenuta Buon Tempo is located on the southern edge of the Montalcino region, not far from Castelnuovo del'Abate, in an area particularly suitable for viticulture. The winery owns 12 hectares of vineyards on the best plots of Montalcino, cultivated in accordance with the requirements of organic farming and officially certified in 2018 after several years of continuous improvement of the quality of the grapes and the environment.
At present, the farm is owned by Mr. Peru Landen, a Swedish entrepreneur who already owns vineyards in French Bordeaux. Landen makes great investments in the vineyard and the winery and conducts the necessary research to create uncompromising wines of the highest quality. The winery team, led by oenologist Alberto Macchetti, is assisted by cooperation with outstanding professionals in the field of winemaking and agronomy, such as Attilio Pali and Stefano Bartolomei. All this allows us to enhance and express the enormous potential in the whole range of Montalcino wines produced.
