SummuS Sant'Antimo DOC 2005 - the most delicious wine in a series of Castello Banfi wines Supertuscan, which represents an extraordinary ensemble of three grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Syrah. During production Summus Sant'Antimo, vinification takes place each class separately, maceration lasts 10-18 days, followed by fermentation at certain temperatures. Wine produced exclusively in the good years.
Castello Banfi winery, producing SummuS Sant'Antimo DOC, was founded in 1978 by an American family Mariani, who made an invaluable contribution to the development appellasona, thanks to research Sangiovese and French grape varieties, with the result that it has been allocated 650 unique Sangiovese from which to further 15. The Castello Banfi winery dates back to 1978, when successful American entrepreneurs of Italian origin John and Gary Mariani, together with Italian oenologist Ezio Rivella, bought vineyards in southern Tuscany. The official name of the company appeared a few years later, when they acquired the Castello Banfi di Poggio alle Mura. Today, Castello Banfi is a thriving family business that is recognized throughout the world for the highest quality of its products. The total area of vineyards is more than 800 hectares. The Castello Banfi plant is the first in the world to be recognized as absolutely correct from an ethical, social and, most importantly, environmental point of view. It also ranks top in terms of customer satisfaction. In addition, the Marianis fully control the barrel production, purchasing oak wood in France, then aging it on the estate for 2-3 years and producing barrels with varying degrees of firing of the signature volume - 350 liters.
