Interesting Facts
Sullivan Bay - a historical region of Australia, landed here and built their first settlement of British expats. Here, on the banks of the River Derwent in Sullivans Cove in 1994. The plant was built "Tasmania". In 2003, after two years of inactivity, the factory moved to Cambridge, a small village on the outskirts of Hobart. Upgrade equipment, the plant started production again. "Tasmania" is not part of the big corporations, the plant belongs to a small group of enthusiasts winemaking. "Tasmania" produces a very pure whiskey, produced by using only the Tasmanian barley and soft, clean water from mountain streams Wellington. The plant took first place and the title of "Best Plant in the world" on "World Whiskies Awards 2007" in the UK. Today "Tasmania Distillery" produces 120 dvuhsotlitrovyh barrels per year. Production line "Tasmania" consists of 3 items: "Sullivans Cove Double Cask", "Sullivans Cove Cask Strength Port" and "Sullivans Cove Cask Strength Bourbon".
Combining oak barrels for aging of two types (from the port and bourbon), "Tasmania Distillery" create a more complex and deep whiskey than could be achieved in only one species of wood - "Sallivanz Cove Double Cask". After the whiskey is matured for at least seven years, the two parts are combined, creating a perfect balance between sweet malt and oak, with hints of dark chocolate and tropical forest. Whiskey undergoes cold filter during its manufacture is not applied colorants and flavorings. On the label of each bottle bearing a serial number manually.
