Reviews of purchase Sonnhof Jurtschitsch, Gruner Veltliner, 2018
Wine is yellow.
The taste of the wine is elegant, refreshing, spicy, with floral and fruity tones, notes of white pepper and high acidity.
In the juicy aroma of wine, the tints of spices and yellow fruits are intertwined.
Wine fits well with fish dishes and hard cheeses.
Sonnhof Jurtschitsch, Gruner Veltliner "Pfarrgarten" is a bright, refreshing white wine with a high acidity and a characteristic spice variety. Grapes for wine production are grown on soil consisting of sedimentary rocks. Harvest is hand-picked, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C. Then the wine ripens for a short time on a thin yeast sediment in the same tanks. Before bottling in the spring of next year the drink is filtered.
Sonnhof Jurtschitsch is an outstanding Austrian winery from the Kampala region, located near the town of Langenlois. Initially, the family production was managed by three brothers Yurchich - Edwin, Paul and Karl. Now at the head of the winery are representatives of the younger generation of the family - Alvin and Stefania Yurchich. Before beginning the work, the couple traveled the world a lot, gathering experience in New Zealand and Australia, working as trainees in the famous wineries of France. "It was a wonderful time and we learned a lot, and now we can realize the ideas and experience that we have accumulated in practice in Kamptal," explains Alvin Yurchic. The first step was to switch to organic cultivation of family vineyards. Then followed a reduction in the area of winemaking, so that you can focus on the first-class names of Campal. The introduction of innovations was cautious, smooth, with great respect for tradition.
The wine philosophy Zonnhof Jurčić also underwent a transformation: "Our wine style became completely subject to the terroir". Wines are produced so that the vineyards and the soil themselves speak for themselves and even for the winemakers and become real works of art. The famous wine guide "Gault Millau" recently named the Sonnhof Jurčić winery "the most exciting in Langeloys at the moment!"
