Wine Siro Pacenti, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Vecchie Vigne", 2012
Reviews of purchase Siro Pacenti, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Vecchie Vigne", 2012
Wine of rich ruby color.
The wine taste is deep, balanced, with a firm structure, velvety tannins, notes of dark cherry, candied plum, exotic spices, resin, cocoa, roasted coffee beans and licorice. The aftertaste is long, fragrant.
In the aroma of wine, the tones of ripe plum, sweet strawberry, black berries, vanilla, dark spices, chocolate, orange peel and French oak are well pronounced.
The wine is ideally combined with dishes from red meat, game, seasoned cheeses.
Siro Pacenti, Brunello di Montalcino "Vecchie Vigne" - a powerful, bold, stylish, deep wine, which made a furor and caused a storm of enthusiasm among wine critics. They note the incredible quality of the wine, its intense fruity, fine structure and versatility of the fragrance. Also, all note the excellent balance, which, in particular, is due to the advanced age of the vines, from which the harvest for the production of wine is collected. Most of them were planted between 1967 and 1972. Vines are grown with absolute respect for the land, and all works in the vineyard are made by hand. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks, and aging is carried out in 225-liter French oak barrels for 24 months and in bottles after bottling. The wine is not filtered before bottling. A natural sediment, which can sometimes be formed in bottles, is a proof of the philosophy of winemaking Siro Pacenti. Before serving, the manufacturer recommends decanting. The peak of the maturity of the vintage in 2012 will approximately be in 2022-2036.
Siro Pacenti is a family winery from Montalcino, which since 1988 has been run by Giancarlo Pacenti, who has raised the wine of the economy for an incredible level over the last two decades. Giancarlo Pacenti is one of the most progressive winemakers of Brunello di Montalcino, many experts recognize him as the best. Everything that he does is done in the best way and at the right time: both in well-groomed vineyards, and in a small winery under his house. "Giancarlo Pacenti is currently the leading specialist in the modern school of Brunello di Montalcino, and no other producer has been able to obtain wines of such a colorful texture and sophistication," writes Antonio Galloni. And Robert Parker notes that "year after year, Shiro Pacenti, run by the detailed-minded Giancarlo Pacenti, is one of the estates whose wine tasting I most enjoy during my annual trip to Montalcino . "
The goal of Siro Pacenti is to create clean, rich and intense wines. Grapes for their production are grown on two family vineyards in the most diverse areas of Montalcino: one to the north-east of the city, and the other - in the more hot south-west region. The brave style of Giancarlo Pacenti and the pursuit of perfection place his wines among the best of Italy.
