Producer's description
The family company Bimmerle was founded in 1936 by Josef Bimmerle in the southernmost of the 13 wine-producing regions of Germany - in Baden. Baden bears the nickname "the sun deck of Germany", as it is the warmest and sunniest corner of the country. There is enough rainfall in the region to fill the grapes with juice. In the world, probably, there is no other such region in which the combination of air temperature and soil, sunlight and precipitation would be so successful. That is why the grapes in Baden are filled with sweetness and rich in minerals. But these are the best prerequisites for making high-quality, aromatic wine from the grapes. With a wealth of knowledge in winemaking and a good entrepreneurial spirit, Josef opened the production of wine under his own name.
The company's winery is named after the initials of representatives of three generations of the Bimmerle family who own the estate - Siegbert (S), Herald (G) and Joseph (J). The label of each bottle is decorated with the logo on which the initials of the SGJ and the year of the winery foundation are written. In 1986, Josef’s grandson, Siegbert Bimmerle, took over the management of the company. Over the years of his reign, Siegbert did his best to make the company one of the largest and most modern wineries in the region today. The company's philosophy is the high quality of wines produced and maximum control at all stages of production. Tribute to traditions and many years of experience allow us to create great wines that have already managed to catch the fancy of consumers not only in their homeland, but throughout the world.
