The wine is made from Saperavi grapes grown in Kakheti, in the Kindzmarauli microzone. The company "Shalvino" - was founded in 2008. She continued the tradition of winemaking family Gvaramadze. The property of the company "Shalvino" includes a plant for the production of wine, as well as 35 hectares of vineyards, broken in a specific area of winemaking - Kardenakhi. The vineyards are located in different microzones on the right bank of the Alazani River, at an altitude of 390 meters above sea level. The plant of the company is equipped with advanced Italian equipment. The quality of the wine produced is monitored daily by the laboratory. Wines "Shalvino" are made both by modern technology, and by the ancient traditional method. On the territory of the plant there are 130 kvevri - large earthenware jugs in which top quality Kakhetian wine is aged and made.
