The winery Sette Ponti is located in the central part of the Chianti. The name translates as "seven bridges". This refers to the seven bridges over the river Reno, next to one of them and is located just a winery. History Sette Ponti began in 1957, when the architect Alberto Moretti bought the estate of 50 hectares at the Princess Marie-Christine and Margherita of Savoy. Today, the estate owned by his son - Antonio Moretti. As a consultant to the winery were invited famous Italian enologist Carlo Ferrini and his assistant Joya Cross. Also in the case it was involved Gilbert Beauvais - one of the most experienced winegrowers in France and agronomist Benedetto d'Anna. Thanks to the work of well-known experts, Moretti was able to give the world the elegant wines that not only reflect the local traditions and the characteristics of its terroir, but also took top place in the Italian and international wine ratings.
It is worth noting that in 2000 Antonio Moretti with his daughter acquired vineyards near Noto in Sicily and founded a new winery Feudo Maccari, which produced two wonderful wine Saia and Maharis.
