Reviews of purchase Selva Capuzza, Lugana "Selva" DOC, 2017
The wine is light straw color with a golden hue.
The taste of wine is fresh, invigorating, perfectly balanced, with juicy shades of peach, plum and yellow apple, underlined smoky minerality, which is preserved in a pleasant aftertaste.
The wine has an exquisite aroma, woven from notes of yellow stone fruit, flowers of acacia, wild herbs and roasted almonds.
Wine can be served as an aperitif, it also complements well fish dishes, white meat and seafood.
Lugana "Selva" is a dry white wine made from the most traditional Turbian grape for this area (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana), which grows on the oldest and most highly located vineyard of the farm. Selva is one of the first single vineyards ever created in the region. The first bottles of Lugana Selva wine were made in 1983. Harvesting is done by hand, at the winery it is subjected to traditional vinification. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Wine storage capacity is up to 12 years.
Selva Capuzza is a small farm, founded in 1917, 4 km south of Lake Garda, in the village of Desenzano. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 50-70 meters above sea level, so that they are very well ventilated, which helps to maintain a low level of humidity, and as a result, to minimize human interference. All Selva Capuzza wines are made exclusively from 6 local grape varieties.
In addition to the vineyards, the farm grows many olive trees, there is an old truffle plantation, and there is also a beautiful park with two small ponds. Guests can also visit the small restaurant or stay overnight in one of the manor’s apartments.
