Seifried, Sauvignon Blanc - a dry white wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc, harvested from vineyards located in Brightwater and Edens Road. Harvesting takes place from mid-March to early April. After collection, berries are desteblirovaniyu and careful pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of flavor and aroma.

Family Winery Seifried was founded in 1973 in the valley Moutere. A native of Austria, German Seyfried, along with his wife Agnes purchased 2 hectares of clay soils in Nelson, to fulfill the dream of Herman, who was educated in Germany and gained experience of wine in one of the largest corporations in South Africa - KWV. In 1976 appeared the first five varietal wines. In those days, the sale of wine from the cellar offering direct mail orders only. After a while, the family bought another 2 Seyfried vineyard, located in Rabbit Island and Valley Redwood. To date, the company owns an area of 180 hectares on which grow varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
In 1993, in the middle of the vineyard on Hare Island (Rabbit Island) family Seyfried built restaurant, which soon became a very popular place for celebrations, weddings and other events. In 1996 he moved here as the winery itself with all the services and offices.
To date, 40% of the annual production of the company Seifried exported to many countries of the world, 55% is supplied to the local market, and the remaining 5% are sold directly from the cellar.
