Tasting Notes

Color

Wine brilliant, deep crimson color with bright purple edges.

Taste

The wine has a bright and juicy taste, filled with notes of raspberry, plum and blackberry, which is supported by a delicious acidity and soft tannins, resulting wine has a deep and persistent finish.

Aroma

By the notes of violets, foliage, fresh raspberries, cherries and blackcurrant aroma in wine adds an interesting layer composed of shades of oak and spice.

Gastronomy

The wine will be an excellent pair with any meat dishes, especially red meat of beef or lamb. Wine "Scrubby Rise" Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon-Petit Verdot is created from 3 classic grape varieties - Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, each of which is vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled wine stainless steel vats, aging period, which "Scrubby Rise" holds a specially selected for each batch of barrels of American and French oak for 12 months. The wine can be drunk now or stored for five years.
Vintage 2011 got decent reviews from critics and a number of estimates of not less than 90 points, including ratings from James Halliday (92/100) and "Courier Mail" (90/100), 4 stars from "Dan Murphy's Review".

The company was founded Wirra Wirra Strengveyzom Robert Wigley in 1894. At age 30, his parents, whom he gives a lot of anxiety eccentricities sent him away in the Australian outback, where the vigorous energy of Robert found, at last, a useful application.
