Producer's description
The winery Pian dell'Orino is located in the heart of the prestigious Montalcino region - Castelnuovo dell'Abate, next to the famous estate Biondi Santi. Jan Erbach and Caroline Pobitzer, the owners of the company, are doing everything possible to improve the quality of their wines, including extensive soil and agricultural research. That farm Pian del'Orino was one of the first in Montalcino, who began to apply biodynamic methods.
Today, the total area of vineyards is 6 hectares, they use organic and biodynamic methods of cultivating vines. Green harvesting and yield reduction are practiced (only 4 bunches per vine).
