Reviews of purchase Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio, Torgiano Rosso Riserva DOCG, 2003, 1.5 L
Wine of deep ruby red color with a purple hue.
The wine has a well-structured taste - sweet, fresh and youthful, with hints of fruit and hints of balsam. Astringent tannins, and a long lasting aftertaste.
The wine has a delicate, complex flavor with hints of cherry and blackberry, subtle notes of violets and menthol. The aroma is also perceptible notes of pepper and cloves.
The wine goes well with grilled or braised red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Riserva Vigna Rubesko Montikko - one of the best wines of Umbria, which is produced only in the best years of harvest and the best traditions of Italian winemaking. It creates only two grape varieties: Sangiovese and Canaiolo grown in a place Montikko, but it has a complex, multi-layered bouquet of flavor and aroma, charming tones of black and red berries, fresh citrus fruits and warm shades of spices. The name "Rubesko" - blush - here has a different meaning: rejoice and be glad. On the label - bas-relief depicting the harvest and Fontana Maggiore in Perugia, a beautiful fountain thirteenth century.
Harvesting is carried out in several stages, so choose the most ripe bunches. After careful manual sorting berries fall in a juicer, and then sent to the temperature-controlled stainless steel containers, where for 15-20 days at kozhetse passes maceration and fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and then ripens at least 3 years in the bottle. Because of its complexity, the wine has tremendous potential exposure: 30-35 years!
