"Montefalco" - red wine, represent blends Sangiovese grape varieties (70%), Sagrantino (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (15%), grown in Umbria. The vineyards are located on steep slopes; Exposure east and south-east. Clayey soil, with an average degree of texturing. Productivity of land is maintained at 80 tons per hectare; stocking density - 5000 plants per unit area. Harvesting is done by hand and by machine (choice of method depends on the type) from mid-September to mid-October. Each variety is collected and vinified separately. Berries are carefully sorted, then gently pressed and left to stand for 10-12-day maceration on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation without addition of industrial yeast cultures extends in steel tank vessels at a controlled temperature. Maturation The wine is in barrels of Slavonian and French oak for a year. Wine Clarification takes place in a natural way through decantation and removal of sediment. "Rest" in the bottle lasts at least 4 months. Wine "Montefalco" has a storage capacity for a period of 7-8 years.
