Tasting Notes
Wine of intense red color with purple reflections.
The wine has a rich, rounded, full of flavor with hints of blackberry, raspberry and violet. In the aftertaste manifest notes of fruit jam and vanilla.
The wine has a full aroma with lots of shades of red berries.
The wine goes well with dishes of all kinds of meat (white and red, poultry, game), as well as with all cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Syrah wine "Crozes-Hermitage" Les Mason "collected from vines whose age is not less than 25 years. They grow on the hills with gentle slopes facing south. The soil is layered, consisting of a mixture of clay, pebbles and gravel. Harvested only hand reaches berries optimum maturity. Producer's description
Winemakers from the villages of Vingro and Totavel joined Les Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau to produce high-quality wines. Vineyards cover 980 hectares of land, they are divided into blocks and are low-yielding. The soils are mainly clay-calcareous and marl-slate; grapes of the Grenache Noir, Syrah, Murvedre, Carignano and Ladonet Pilyut varieties grow on them.
In 1996, the quality of Totavel and Wingro wines was recognized as the creation of a new sub-appellation - Cotes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel.
