Reviews of purchase Ribera del Duero DO, "Vina Sastre" Crianza, 2016
Wine of deep red color with a purple hue.
The wine has a full, mellow taste with a soft texture, rich tones of dark fruit, cherries and blackberries. In the long aftertaste nuances of oak.
In a sensual bouquet of wine aromas of ripe dark fruit blend harmoniously with notes of vanilla and other spices.
The wine goes well with venison, beef not strong roasting under a red sauce, veal, seasoned with cheese.
Red wine "Vina Sastre" Crianza made from grape varieties Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), grown in the best vineyards, located in the central part of the Ribera del Duero. Harvesting is done by hand. Winery Hermanos Sastre is located in the heart of Ribera del Duero, in the small town of La Orr and there is only recently, only since 1992, when a vineyard was harvested the first crop. Owners of the company were two brothers who have received some of the oldest vineyards in the region as a legacy. The pride of the house Hermanos Sastre, of course, is Santa Cruz vineyard Pago, which grows in the unique terroir and the age of the vines is over 80 years. This vineyard was the beginning of the production of three cuvees, repeatedly received high critical acclaim: "Pesus", "Santa Cruz Pago" and "Santa Cruz Pago" Reserva produced only in years with a great harvest. Since 2002, the management of the company is engaged in only one brother Jesus. Pedro, who was responsible for the most important processes for the production of wine, was killed in a car crash. This year was a turning point in the life of the house wine. But the company survived, not only in these years was created a special cuvée, called "Pesus" (Pedro Jesús).
The basic philosophy of the company Hermanos Sastre - a combination of elegant style of wine that is not peculiar to classical Spain, with traditional technologies aging wine. Average annual production totals about 80,000 bottles of wine.
