Wine Reichsrat von Buhl, Forster "Pechstein" Riesling GG, 2015

Grandson of Franz Eberhard, is the founder and president of the Association of German winegrowers who sought to preserve the high quality of German wines. After his Smer in 1921, the widow Frieda Piper von Buhl took the reins in his hands. Under her leadership, the high quality of wine is not only preserved but also improved. After the death of childless Frida in 1952, according to the will of Eberhard, the winery was taken over by his political friend Georg Enoch von und zu Guttenberg. From 1989 to 2013, the plant was leased by the Japanese businessman Toyohiro Tokuoka.
Since 2013, a new, ambitious company headed by managing director Richard Grosche, technical director Mathieu Kaufmann and manager Werner Sebastian resumed production of fine German wines using organic technology.
