Interesting Facts
"Prince d'Arignac" XO is produced in the relatively small area of Gascony in the south-west of France. The raw material for Armagnac was the grapes of Uni Blanc, Fol Blanche and Colombard. The collected grapes are squeezed out, the resulting juice is fermented with the addition of yeast cultures. The fermented wort is distilled once, after which the distillate is placed in oak barrels where it expands for at least 6 years.
Les Grands Chais de France (GСF) is a group of companies founded in Petersbach in 1979 by Joseph Helfrich. The main location of the companies is Vosges du Nord (in the south of France). To date, Le Grand Chee de France is a large and successful company engaged in the production of quality French beverages, and aimed mainly at export (more than 70% of products). GСF owns vineyards in many wine-producing regions of the country - Alsace, Loire Valley, Bordeaux (Landiras), Beaujolais (P. Desvignes) and Languedoc-Roussillon (Domaine de la Baume).
A distinctive feature of the company GСF is the desire to preserve the old traditions, combining them with innovations in the world of winemaking. This is due to many years of colossal experience of more than 1200 employees of the company. The annual turnover of Les Grands Chais de France is about 700 million euros. The volume of production is about 1,000,000 bottles a day. The company's production areas occupy 12.8 hectares.
