Tasting Notes
Red wine of medium intensity.
Taste wine elegant, juicy, dense, energetic, great depth and complexity, with notes of ripe fruit and spices. Tannic aftertaste, fragrant, long-term.
Fragrant aroma of the wine is filled with tones of raspberry, red currant, rose petals, tobacco, orange zest and exotic spices.
The wine goes well with red meat, rabbit, duck magret, feathered game, entrecote. Also, this wine is a perfect accompaniment to the traditional dishes of Piedmontese cuisine, such as carpaccio with truffles, Stink di Vitella (veal shank).

"Barbaresco" - wine from the classic line of Pio Cesare economy. The grapes for the production of its exclusive rights comes from the best vineyards in the region - "Il brick" and "San Stefanetto" that grow in the commune of Treiso. Berries are subjected to careful selection and careful spinning. Maceration and fermentation process lasts 20 days under strictly controlled temperature. 35% of the wine aged for 30 months in small oak barriques of French oak, one third of which - new. The rest of the wine is aged for 3 years in oak barrels. Excellent structure vintage 2008 will allow guilt slowly evolve and stored in the bottle for decades.
Pio Cesare winery was founded in 1881.
