Wine "Cuccaia" created from two grape varieties - Sangiovese and Merlot are grown in the area of Montecucco (Tuscany) near Mount Amiata at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. The wine has balanced acidity, moderate tannins, fantastic fruit flavors and intriguing flavor.
Harvest Wine "Kukaya" was entirely manual, berries carefully fit into small boxes in order to preserve their quality during transport. For each of the varieties used by an individual treatment approach: Merlot crop was harvested 20 days earlier than Sangiovese, alcoholic fermentation takes place for each class separately, the process of maceration for Merlot lasted 15 days, and for Sangiovese - 20 days. Withstands wine for 9 months in French oak barriques and about six months in bottles.
Founded in 2002, the company Piandibugnano (Pyandibunyano) is the result of the work of three co-investors, each of which has its own unique life story. This Giorgio Butselli - a professional in the field of sales and marketing of wine, Paolo Trappolini -enolog and entrepreneur, and Carlo Filippechi - restaurateur. Together, they combined to form new promising wines in Southern Tuscany.
