The wine is an attractive straw-golden color.
The wine shows a soft, clean taste with a delicate, well-balanced acidity, citrus-mineral accents and a long finish.
The wine has a refreshing aroma with dominant shades of grapefruit, white peach, spring flowers and subtle woody hints.
The wine will complement well dishes of sea fish and seafood, vegetable salads, snacks and soft cheeses.
"Genevieve" - a very attractive dry white wine with a delicate, well-balanced acidity and hints of tropical and citrus fruits in taste and aroma. The wine is made from Chardonnay grapes, which ripen in the vineyards economy in excellent climatic conditions. After the harvest, which takes place when the berries reach optimum ripeness, the fruits are vinified in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged on fine sediment in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, for 8 months. "Genevieve" is recommended to be consumed young or for the next 3-4 years after release.
Penley Estate was born from the union of two innovative wine families in South Australia - Penfold and Tolly. Property owned by the Tolly family was founded by Eng, Beck and Kim Tolly. They bought a plot of land in Kunavorra in 1988 and planted it with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, thus laying the foundation for the future company. The winery was built in 1995. One of the key features of the company are its vineyards, planted on the soils of "Terra Rossa", which maximally reflect the terroir of the region.
Today, the company has grown significantly in size and includes a modern winery surrounded by 200 acres of vineyards. In tandem with winemaker Kate Goodman, the company creates in Kunavorra a new, softer and more elegant style that was not previously inherent in this region. Today, the Penley Estate is one of the most progressive wineries and the top producer in the region.
