The first vintage of wine "grunge" was made on an experimental basis in 1951. The impetus for its production of Max Schubert was the trip to France, after which the winemaker decided to create a wine that would be able to compete with the best Bordeaux wines not only taste characteristics, but also the potential exposure. Vintage 2009 is made of grape varieties Shiraz (98%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), grown in the historic site "Magill" and exceptional vineyards in the Barossa Valley and Kunavorre. After fermentation, the wine is aged 18 months in barrels carefully selected exclusively from the new American oak. The unique structure allows the wine to keep it for decades.
