Interesting Facts
To create a wine "Castillo de Molina" Pinot Noir Reserva was selected Pinot Noir, grown on steep slopes in the valley of Curico. Rather mild climate of the area allows the grapes to ripen slowly and show intense color and a good balance of acidity and alcohol. The grapes are harvested in early March and runs cold maceration for 5 days. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts under controlled temperature of 25 to 27ºC. 3 times per day cap wort immersed down manually. After 15 days of maceration, the wine is aged in French oak barrels (30% are new, 30% - 30% and annual - biennial) for 10 months. The wine can be drunk already, or stored for 4 years.
