Reviews of purchase "Opus One", Napa, 2014
The wine is characterized by a strong red color with garnet hue.
Taste wine has a creamy texture that envelops attractive tone colors cherries and dark chocolate. With age, the drink gets extra smoothness.
Aromatic bouquet of wine is extremely fresh, has tones of bright red fruit, bay leaf and black currants, which are complemented by nuances of black tea and white pepper.
Recommended to decant the wine at least one hour before use. "Opus One" is fed to mature cheeses, a dish of noble game, duck and lamb, as well as dense gourmet cuisine.
Legendary wine "Opus One", created from California grapes, is more "French" of the best red wines in California. Experts called "Opus One's" the best wine in the history of California. It came to light thanks to two great winemakers of the XX century: the famous Bordeaux producer Baron Philippe de Rothschild and no less famous Robert Mondavi from California who carried out this joint project. Name wine was chosen so that it was written on the same label in both French and English. Baron Rothschild suggested that the Latin word for "Opus", which the composer called his works. Robert Mondavi added to this name the word "One", which can be understood as the "first experience", but rather - "one of a kind." Wine in Bordeaux style really is the "only" and unique, magnificent works of two great winemakers.
