Legendary wine Opus One, created from California grapes, is more "French" of the best red wines in California. Connoisseurs call Opus One's best wine in the history of California. It came to light thanks to two great winemakers of the 20th century: the famous producer from Bordeaux - Baron Philippe de Rothschild and no less famous Robert Mondavi from California who carried out this joint project. Name wine was chosen so that it was written on the same label in both French and English. "Baron Rothschild" suggested the Latin word "Opus", which the composer called his works. Robert Mondavi added to this name the word "One", which can be understood as the "first experience", but rather - "one of a kind." Wine in Bordeaux style really is the "only" and unique, magnificent works of two great winemakers.
