Wine "Drink Me" is made from a variety of local red grapes grown in vineyards in the Cima Corgo at an altitude of 100-500 meters above sea level. Age vines is from 10 to 40 years. If you give a general description of the weather, the 2009 season turned out to be cool, with plenty of water and all presaged a long, slow ripening. But amazingly high temperature in August, on the contrary, accelerated aging of grapes and the harvest began in early September. Fermentation was carried out with maceration for 8-15 days in steel tanks. Only 20% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels and the rest - in steel tanks for 12 months.
A small wine company Niport, produces some of the best port, was founded in 1842 Niport family - originally from the Netherlands. For a long time the family Niport purchased grapes from small farms located in the valley of kicks.
