Wine Navarro Correas, "Coleccion Privada" Pinot Noir, 2019
Reviews of purchase Navarro Correas, "Coleccion Privada" Pinot Noir, 2019
Wine intense purple color.
The taste of wine is fresh, medium intensity, with rounded tannins, soft texture and a long berry aftertaste.
The aroma of wine is filled with bright shades of black berries (especially blackberries), spices and sweet paprika.
Wine in harmony with well-roasted red meat, lamb with herbs and spices, stuffed with pasta, hard and semi-hard cheeses.
"Coleccion Privada" ("Private Collection") is a line that reminds us that art in any form allows you to explore and always find new and better expressions of your work. On the labels of wines of the series are the works of prestigious and emerging Argentine artists. This creates a rich collection of works of art and wine that coexist in perfect harmony.
Koleksion Privada Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown in several Mendoza terroirs: in Perdriel and Agrelo in the department of Lujan de Cuyo, as well as in the Uco Valley region and in the Barrancas region in the Maipu department. The vines are cultivated at a height that varies between 650 and 1060 meters above sea level, causing a noticeable heat amplitude. Lowering the temperature overnight causes the grapes to ripen slowly over a longer time, which leads to the emergence of new flavors and a fresh taste. Harvested by hand in small boxes. The wort obtained after soft pressing is fermented in stainless steel tanks with regular punching of the cap for two weeks. Wine aging is carried out in oak barrels and lasts 6 months.
With more than two hundred years of experience, the company Navarro Correas is one of the leading wineries in Spain. The company's origins date back to 1798, when Don Juan de Dios Correas planted the first vines in the Mendoza region, in the foothills of the Andes. From the mid-1800s and over the next century, the family sold its grapes and wines to other producers. But in 1974, Don Edmundo Navarro Correas, a descendant of Juan de Dios Correas, decided to start producing wines under his own name, renaming the winery and radically reorienting its work.
Currently, Navarro Correas has 2 modern wineries: Cava Godoy Cruz for the production of sparkling wines and Finca Agrelo for the production of still. The company is constantly improving, choosing new regions with the most suitable terroir for each grape variety, so work is being done with more than 60 vineyards located in the most prestigious wine-growing areas.
