Producer's description
In 1951, Fiorenzo Nada Treyzo have a son Bruno. Commune Treyzo while the village was still a part of Barbaresco. Family Treyzo from generation to generation was engaged in winemaking on their lands Treyzo between Alba and delivering their wine to local restaurants. When the father Bruno was one-quarter the economy (it was divided between four sons), it began to produce wine only to close friends and relatives. The best is grape wine delivered to third-party manufacturers.
Teen Bruno keen idea of urban life easier Treyzo left. It was in the 60s, when the boom is gaining momentum, when it was possible to earn easy money. And miss the train of modernity, remained in the village, few people wanted. After graduating from the Technical University of Turin and Asti, he was 22 years old, became a teacher of the school in Alba. Then he began to study the hotel business in Barolo, and went to the courses of "food and wine".
Bruno says: "Despite the fact that I lived in a different world, my connection with Treyzo never broke off, she always lived in me." Over time, the old generation was replaced by a new and a new generation took their place, assuming the experience, tradition. Plunged in the wine world, like Bruno changed. He often met with famous people, he participated in discussions about the terroir, about wine, about the problems of this case, about the low productivity.
Then he made an offer to his family to stop the sale of grapes, to build a modern cellar and start production of bottled wine. He also proposed a reduction in the yield from the vine to concentrate on endurance. These simple ideas then considered revolutionary. His father then said one sentence - "Pruvuma", which means let's do it. From that moment began the hard work. It was in 1982, when he had to get up early in the morning. They worked in the vineyards - thinned vines, the grapes once hid in the ditches to be never seen again. So with heavy physical labor, and began an exciting journey into a new wine business.
Bruno was lucky that he maintained throughout his father, as well as the fact that the soil perfectly suited for viticulture. The place where he was born and continued the work - Rombone. The first reviews about the wines of Nada in 1987, wrote the founder of Slow Food (then Arcigola) - Carlin Petrini. Bruno was very proud of his first wines, and therefore not stopping there went on. Then they were created Dolcetto d'Alba and Barbaresco, after which there Seifile in 1988, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba and Barbaresco Rombone. Recently, the vineyard area has been increased, which allowed the light Barbaresco Manzola.
This is how history is created. The project, which has long been started with simple ideas, but of hard work, and there is growing year after year. In Rombone come from all over the world: both clients and competitors and critics, and ordinary tourists. All Nada family (Bruno himself and his father) always happy to receive guests, inviting to spend time over a bottle of good wine in their company.
Already the children of Bruno - Monica and Danilo, are actively involved in the family business, working in the vineyards and the winery. All the passion and love for wine and the case was passed on to them and they have to be addressed much more will this dream.
