Interesting Facts
Light, refreshing wine Vega Libre Red is made from a mixture of varieties of Tempranillo and Bobal. The vineyards are located in the Utiel-Requena Spanish province of Valencia. Clay-limestone soil and continental climate, which are exposed sea winds, create favorable conditions for growing grapes.
Carefully collected and carefully sorted berries are pressed. The resulting mash is fermented with yeast quality in stainless steel at a temperature of about 26 ° C. Excerpt wines are also made in steel tanks, which allows to preserve the freshness of taste and natural aroma of grapes.

Producer's description
Winery Bodegas Murviedro was founded in 1927 as a branch of the Schenck Group of Companies, which was then leading in the European wine market. Since 1997, the company has been located in the city of Requena. The Murviedro plant, managed by competent, highly qualified specialists, is, as before, the property of the Schenck family. The combination of the latest technology and long-standing traditions in the field of winemaking provide the production of fine quality wines with their own unique characters, reflecting the characteristics of the Spanish regions of Alicante, Valencia, Rueda, Utel Requena, Cava and Castile.
The name of the winery Murviedro (derived from Muri Veteres, which means "Old Walls" in Latin) goes back to the legend of the fortress walls surrounding the ancient city. It tells of a mystical ancient spirit, forever wandering through dark caves and damp cellars, in which wine slowly matured in large oak barrels. A small stylized image of a spirit with a horn of wine in its hands, which has become a symbol of the company, can be seen on the bottle label.
