"Baron Ugo" Riserva - red wine made from Sangiovese grapes with a small fraction of Colorino and Canaiolo. Crop is harvested in the vineyard "Baron Ugo", located at an altitude of 570 meters above sea level. Age of vines on the plantation reached 39 years. Vinification wort is spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks without the addition of yeast in the absence of temperature control. Maceration wort passes on the lees and lasts 30-35 days with daily manual remontazhem. Upon completion of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, which also occurs spontaneously without yeast. The wine is aged 36 months in French oak barrels, 3 months placed in cement tubs and bottled unfiltered from (usually in the fall, always during the waning moon). In the cellars of wine hold another 6 months before the sale.
Vineyards Monteraponi estates are located mainly in the valley at an altitude of Arbi 420-570 meters above sea level and covers only 10 hectares. Wine farms produce mainly of Sangiovese (90%), to which is added a small amount of grape varieties Canaiolo and Colorino. Fermentation takes place in cement wine baths, and endurance - in large oak barrels. To date, the line of wines produced by the estate, including wine Chianti Classico, two variants of wines Chianti Classico Riserva, and grappa, pink, white, red and dessert wines.
