Wine "Montej" Rosso DOC, 2015

"Monty" Russia - a nice wine with balanced acidity and a rounded taste intense fruity aroma. For the first time the wine was produced in 2004. To create it using grapes Barbera, which was collected in October from eight years of vines. The vineyards are located in the scenic hills of Monferrato at an altitude of 300-320 meters above sea level. The exposition area - Southwest, planting density - 4,200 vines per hectare of soil - clay and limestone. Young 8-year-old vines are formed in the system Guillot. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers, and lasts two weeks. After malolactic fermentation the wine is aged for 4 months in part in steel tanks (80%), partly - in oak barriques (20%). Wine storage capacity is 3 years.

"Villa Sparina" is located in Monterotondo - a small village in the community of Gavi. Winemaking in the area began to develop in the XVII century: when the village was surrounded by vineyards, here there was a wine cellar, as well as the house, which belonged to a noble family from Genoa, who does not abandon those winemakers who worked nearby. Today, this tradition continues - the village is visited by tourists and admirers of ancient traditions of Italian winemaking. Vineyards "Villa Sparina", located in the area, covering about 400 hectares, 60 hectares of which are surrounded by forest and windswept with the Ligurian Sea. Prestige "Villa Sparina" confirmed by the fact that the wines of the region Monterotondo are among the most noble white wines made through careful selection of grapes.

The owner of "Villa Sparina" - Stefano Mokkagato - developed for its wine bottles amazing forms. Such a step was inspired by paintings of Giorgio Morandi, winemaker favorite artist. "We wanted to create a recognizable wine, perfect in form and content," - said Stefano.
