Tasting Notes
Wine a brilliant ruby red color.
The wine shows a bright, rich, silky, rounded flavor with a pleasant berry flavor and soft tannins well integrated.
Wine charms fresh bouquet with the aroma of ripe berries. Attractive tones of black currant, cherry and blackthorn perfectly complement the notes of wood tar, black pepper, smoke and leather.
Wine will be perfect pair with cheese, vegetable soups and dishes of red or white meat. It can also be served with pasta, pizza, hot snacks, sausages and smoked.
Interesting Facts
A wonderful table wine Torrevento, "eArte" Rosso is made from a blend of Sangiovese grapes (50%), Merlot (30%) and Primitivo (20%), grown in the hills of Apulia. The vineyard is located in the region Murgia north of Bari. Vines, planted at an altitude of 350-400 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils of medium consistency, have yields of 110 hl / ha. Harvesting usually occurs in the first 2 days of September. Carefully selected, healthy, ripe berries are soft pressed. Vinification occurs at constant temperature control in stainless steel tanks. The wine is also made in steel tanks for 3-4 months.
Producer's description
The Montedidio winery, founded 11 years ago by Mario Ercolino, is located in the heart of southern Italy on the hills of Paternopoli. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level in the region most suitable for the production of Italian wines. Having 30 years of experience in winemaking, oenologist Mario Erkolino decided to create his own winery.
The name Montedidio comes from a street on the famous Neapolitan hill. The wines of the company fully express the potential of southern Italy, captivating with its organoleptic characteristics from the first seconds.
