The taste of wine is characterized by medium acidity and ripe tannins that give a very good structure. The high intensity of fruit provides long aftertaste.
The aroma of wine is filled with flavors of black currants and ripe black fruit, hints of sweet spices and dried herbs.
The wine is ideal for meat dishes - especially meat cooked on the grill.
"Intriga" Cabernet Sauvignon - Chilean wine from grapes harvested in the estate of intrigue in the Maipo Valley. The estate was founded in 1865 under the name "Linderos" Don Alejandro Reyes - one of the pioneers of Chilean viticulture, cultivated only the most noble European varieties. Now the estate is owned by MontGras. In the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon wine with added a small proportion of other red varieties. Age of vines between 15 and 50 years. Crop is harvested by hand from late April to late May. Maceration and fermentation continued 28 days. Wine is aged 21 months in French barrels, a quarter of them - new. Storage capacity of wine is 15 years.
Owning 435 hectares of vineyards, MontGras cultivates many different grape varieties. Large areas are reserved for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Also grown Carmenere, Syrah, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Semillon, Cabernet Franc. Many wine MontGras awarded an honorary diploma, as well as gold, silver and bronze medals at prestigious international contests.
