Misty Cove, "Signature" Pinot Noir is a New Zealand red dry wine made using selected Pinot Noir grapes grown on low-yield Rapuara and Northbank vineyards. After harvesting, the berries are cold settled for 7 days, followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation of the wort is carried out in steel tanks with the addition of wild yeast. Wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barriques. The potential of the wine is 3-5 years.
Andrew Bally, an eccentric and unpredictable resident of New Zealand, decided to found his winery. The Marlborough region is known for its Foggy Coves, so Andrew knew the name of the future winery from the very beginning. Misty Cove (in translation - "Misty Bay") is a relatively young winery, which has vineyards with unique soils and microclimate. One of them is a vineyard located in the most remote part of Marlborough, in the Waitaria Bay. It can be reached only by boat.
Each stage of production, from harvesting to bottling, is strictly controlled personally by Andrew Bally. To date, Misty Cove's products are gaining new horizons, capturing the characteristics of many consumers.
