Wine of deep ruby color.
Velvety, well-structured taste of the wine imperiously captures sensual tones of plum, black currant, spice, cola and tarragon.

The wine is served with meat dishes (roast, game, grilled meats), sausages, cheeses.
"Metekhi" wines are produced at the "Tsinandali Old Pogreb" factory, which is one of the three wine enterprises belonging to the Mildiani group. The line of wines "Metekhi" is dedicated to the old historical district of Tbilisi, which grew on the high cliff of Metekhi. Here in the XII century was an ancient castle, which was the residence of Georgian kings, destroyed in the middle of the XX century.
The wine "Metekhi" Mukuzani is based on the autochthonous Georgian grapes of the Saperavi variety, grown in the Mukuzani district. This terroir adds to the varietal characteristics of notes of minerals and creates a powerful fruit base. After maceration and fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for at least 3 years.
The "Mildiani" was created in 1991 by brothers Mildiani. Initially the company was engaged only in the purchase of finished products and their exports to Russia. Three years later, it was created its own wine production, which increased export growth. The winery was built in the region, Tsinandali and is equipped with advanced Italian equipment, which further guarantees the quality of the wine and its continuous improvement. The total vineyard area of the company is more than 100 hectares. To date, the group "Mildiani" includes three wine companies, "Tsinandali Old Wine Cellar", "Gurjaani Wine Cellar" and the mini-mill souvenir wines "Wazi-1." Also included in the distribution company "Letre" which sells its products in the local market. High-quality wines "Mildiani" are known not only in Georgia, but also far beyond its borders.
