Variety Vermentino giving guilt Terramare Vermentino Maremma Toscana IGT pleasant taste and a different structure, grown on sunny vineyards in the hills of Maremma Province of Grosseto. The vineyards are located on the slopes, so the height of their location varies from 50 to 500 meters above sea level. The climate in the area, usually hot and dry with relatively low average annual rainfall. Soils are mainly limestone. The grapes are harvested by hand in the degree of maturity. Fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature. Prior to bottling wine kept several months in contact with the yeast.
Melini House was founded in 1705 on the outskirts of Florence, in the village of Pontassieve. Melini wine immediately became famous for their high quality, but until the middle of the XIX century they were delivered only to the domestic market, while in 1865, Alfredo Laborel Melini has not created a woven straw wafer bottle, allowing safe transport of wine abroad. In 1877, the Chamber of Commerce awarded the Florence House Melini diploma and a gold medal for the development and strengthening of the vast markets of Tuscan wines abroad. House Melini has confirmed its excellent reputation, and still produces some of the best-selling wines in the world. At the beginning of the XX century Melini to expand their holdings and bought about 200 hectares of vineyards in the Chianti Classico and built a new winery in Gadzhiano di Poggibonsi, where they remain to this day. Melini is a member of the "Group of Italian wines."
