The wine is dark ruby color.

Interesting Facts
Vineyard called La Plana (La Plana), the harvest is used for wine production, is situated on an altitude of 485 meters above sea level on its own grounds of the Marquis de Murreta. Located in the Rioja wine region, the vineyard has a high status Gran Reserva. In the blended wine is dominated by Tempranillo grapes (93%), supplemented by a small proportion of Mazuela (7%). Tempranillo was harvested by hand in small boxes 15, 16 and 17 October, and grapes Mazuela - October 11. After careful sorting of grapes desteblirovali, and then for 11 days was kept in stainless steel tanks with daily remontazhem that helped extract from the berries maximum color and flavor, avoiding at the same time excessive tannins. Excerpt wine lasted 29 months in 225 liter American oak barrels, and then another 10 months in new oak barrels, and before the implementation of the wine for at least another 36 months aged in the bottle. Today the family business operates an ambitious and dynamic young Count Vicente Dalmau Cebrian-Sagarriga, Earl Creixell. Father Earl bought the winery in 1983, investing a lot of money there to revitalize the business. After the untimely death of his in 1996, the company moved to Vincent. In his 25 years with the confidence he went to work, got a new team and began to create a modern, elegant wine with its own unique style. Thus began the "new era" in the history of the brand Marques de Murrieta, whose basic philosophy is to strive for quality and excellence through tradition and innovation.
Winery company located in the southern part of the Rioja Alta, here is a beautiful and unique manor Ygay Canaja vineyard area of 300 hectares. Eighty percent of the area of vineyards planted with varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura (Macabeo), as well as a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon.
